Energy Sales & Markets at Essent

Within the Energy Sales & Markets department, our colleagues are responsible for the purchasing and selling of energy. Our traders monitor energy prices daily and work to secure the most favorable purchasing terms. They constantly coordinate with our sales colleagues, as well as with teams from other departments such as Essent Infrastructure Solutions and IT, to make the most of the rapidly changing market.

Reselling of Energy

Based on accurate predictions, energy is purchased. The amount of energy needed depends on various factors, such as the weather and the fact that households are becoming more sustainable, requiring less energy or generating it themselves. Ultimately, the purchased energy is resold to our customers. In addition to ensuring that the purchased energy is resold at the right price, our sales colleagues also assist our customers by providing advice on energy conservation.

Insight into Your Energy Consumption

To take the next step in the energy transition together, it is important that our customers also have insight into their consumption. We focus on the customer journey. Therefore, by utilizing data, we ensure that we create the right profile for every household and business and can provide the appropriate advice.
