What are your roles at Essent?
Gijs: "I work as a Data Engineer in the Sourcing Intelligence team within the IT department in the Engagers ART."
Anderson: "I'm a Data Engineer for the Data Core Team."
How do you know each other?Anderson: "We know each other from our previous company. I started there in 2022, and shortly after I joined, Gijs mentioned that he had taken a new position at Essent."
Anderson: "Interestingly, Gijs was involved in the hiring process for my previous job."
Gijs: "I was also referred to Essent by someone else, and I'm still very happy about it. Given that Anderson came from the same company I worked at and we share many personal traits and interests, I thought he would be a great fit for Essent as well."
Anderson: "After discussing Essent with Gijs, I decided to apply. He told me more about the role, the company, and his experience working at Essent. The job description sounded very interesting and challenging, especially given my background in Software Engineering, which is quite different from Data Engineering. But I was also very intrigued by the company culture. The way Gijs spoke about Essent made me feel it was a place where I would fit in well."
Gijs: "My tip? Keep sharing your kindness, passion, and enthusiasm with your colleagues."

Gijs: "The €1,500 bonus is substantial, so I’m planning to go out for a fancy dinner with friends. We’ll see what’s left after that!"
