Quantitative Analyst

The Quantitative analyst performs non-standard analyses and develops models, proposes improvements to existing models and takes care of implementation of the valuations and analyses with a goal to add value to the value pools of EM by providing the relevant stakeholders with the usable insights into the risks, portfolios, market, customer behavior, customer demand and optimization possibilities.

Job description

You don’t just see opportunities as a Quantitative Analyst, you make rapid and full use of them in:

  • Carrying out analyses of data or analysis applications, in order to convert data into usable information and insights for portfolio hedging, optimization, origination, pricing/sales sourcing, forecasting and reporting.
  • Managing models that contribute to the improvement of the risk insights, hedging, sourcing, including modelling of customer demand, market prices, etc.
  • Sharing insights about EM risk exposures via periodic and ad-hoc reports
  • Advising internal stakeholders and management in policy and strategy development using data-based insights and quantitative analysis.
  • Implementing new, improved data analytics and models in the business processes and monitors implemented solutions

You'll join the Data & Analytics team in the Energy Markets department. The Quantitative analyst should be able to align the requirements of the stakeholders, cooperate and align the approach with the senior Quantitative analyst, Data Science Engineer, Central Portfolio Strategy and potentially within the Essent Data Committee and then develop the necessary models and / or perform the necessary ad-hoc or regular analyses whereby an own contribution, ability to act independently and to develop solutions are expected.

  • Extended domain, statistical and technical knowledge
  • The ability to work within the team and independently. Internal drive for improvements
  • You are also able to speak and write Dutch and English fluently.
  • Preferably you have been working within an EU based enterprise.
