The growing number of households with solar panels and electric cars has made our customers’ energy usage more volatile. Moreover, the ‘energy landscape’ is changing rapidly, triggering the need for new services and solutions. The rate of change will probably increase even further. While stability, security and robustness remain as important as ever, flexibility, scalability and changeability are becoming increasingly important. This means Essent IT will have to improve itself drastically and take on a different role than before. Digital services play a critical role in Essent’s strategy and Essent IT must take the lead in this digital transformation.

Only together can we take the next step in energy. As a Community Manager, you are the expert in your field in: 

  • Strategize and execute community engagement initiatives that align with our company objectives, with a particular focus on the IT community.

  • Oversee and enhance our presence on social media platforms and our dedicated blog it.essent.nl, ensuring content is engaging, informative, and reflective of our brand ethos.

  • Lead the Essent IT Meetup group, facilitating events that bring together IT professionals and enthusiasts to share knowledge, network, and foster a sense of community.

  • Actively facilitate the TypeScript Netherlands User Group, encouraging participation, arranging meetups, and ensuring content relevance and quality.

  • Serve as the pivotal link between the IT department and our colleagues in Recruitment Marketing, coordinating efforts to highlight our company culture, events, and career opportunities in the IT sphere.

  • Generate and curate compelling content for our blog, social media channels, and other communication mediums to engage our audience and promote our community's growth.

  • Monitor, moderate, and animate discussions within our communities to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and constructive environment.

  • Leverage analytics tools to track community engagement, derive actionable insights, and adjust strategies accordingly.

In this position, you are part of the IT department. Together we have the ambition to become a Tech Company as Essent IT. We believe that we have to transform into a Tech Company to drive the Digital Energy Business of Essent. We offer development programs and certification tracks. We foster our Tech Communities to develop the technical skills of our engineers, introduce them to new developments and inspire them to innovate.   • Proven experience in community management, social media management, or a similar role, preferably within the IT industry. 

  • A deep understanding of social media platforms and tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

  • A creative, proactive attitude

You also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
