IAM Platform Engineer Active Directory

Our expert team is responsible for the operation and continuous development of E.ON’s Privileged Administration Platform. By combining deep technical expertise with a forward-thinking mindset, we optimize the platform and deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of its users—ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable privileged access across the organization.

Energy moves you
  • Design and manage on-premises Active Directory environments, including Group Policy, DNS, and related services.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Python to streamline identity lifecycle processes.
  • Set up and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automate provisioning and configuration of Dev & Test environments using Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Collaborate with security and IT teams to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of Active Directory configurations and access controls.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in IAM and RBAC technologies, with experience in privileged access management (PAM) solutions.
  • Ensure familiarity with compliance standards.
You are Essent
  • Agile mindset with experience in agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, KANBAN) and working in agile project teams.
  • Strong self-organization, accountability, and structured work approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in working with automation frameworks (e.g., Agent Development Kit).
  • Extensive expertise in on-premises Active Directory, including design and problem-solving capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of PAM concepts and RBAC design principles.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, MS Cybersecurity Architect) are advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, collaborative team spirit, and proficiency in English with knowledge of German.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices.
