Lead Full Stack Typescript Engineer

With around 200 DevOps engineers in 27 teams, as a team you really have something at your disposal that has end-to-end impact. For example: the apps, the Essent.nl website, or the meter reading AWS app etc. We never sit still: the energy sector and energy transition are a very dynamic world in which we are constantly on the move, and you are largely responsible for determining and making your own journey within this.

As an engineer, you like solving puzzles. If the puzzle is sufficiently interesting, the work is enjoyable. Of course, we also have the best colleagues, but that is subjective. The puzzles on the Lead Full Stack Typescript Engineer plate include the personalisation of offers to our customers, and they are really end-to-end. But also things such as setting up a scalable integration service with fully automated deployments, and the freedom to experiment with tools and technologies to arrange your work as effectively and efficiently as possible.   • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using TypeScript in backend, Angular or React in frontend, and AWS
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver impactful features
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure scalability and maintainability
  • Take ownership of your code from development to deployment till maintenance.
  • Continuously improve our codebase, processes, and team culture.
You are Essent

You will be able to crack our puzzles if you recognise yourself in the majority of the following points:

  • Is seen by team members and stakeholders as a leader and as a go-to person when they need help.
  • Take pro-actively the lead on behalf of your team and ART, in the key activities, such as road mapping, solutioning, designing and implementing features
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Angular, and cloud / serverless development with AWS or similar
  • A full stack mindset comfortable working across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure
  • A fast learner who picks up new tools and technologies with ease
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement
  • True team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
We offer you

Working with us on the energy transition and with interesting puzzles are must-haves, but without a good salary (€5692 - €8091 gross per month) and other benefits, that isn’t good enough, of course. A good salary, 30 days’ annual leave, a generous training budget, hybrid working in a multicultural environment, English as the working language, a nice bonus, are all included as standard.
