As a Quantitative Risk Specialist you are responsible for processing information out of the IT Landscape using the state of the art available tools. This includes the adaptation of new products and system/process innovations and maintain the existing workflows. You’ll take responsibility as a Quantitative Risk Specialist for:
- Establishing an Essent credit and market risk governance framework which is translated into policies and a process to monitor compliance
- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly risk reports for the business and stakeholders to check correct deal capturing, inform them on the risk exposures and to be able to monitor the compliance level against the set guidelines
- Ensuring that any new model, product or sourcing strategy is assessed on the risk profile and is approved subsequently after which it is implemented into the systems and daily operations.
- Providing on demand deep dives, analysis and overviews on the risk exposures throughout the company, either from a Market or Credit risk perspective.
- Applying the role of a business partner in the support of the business to realize their risk mitigating tasks however also challenge the realization of these within given process, regulatory and financial restrictions
You'll join the Controlling & Risk team in the energy Markets department. We are part of Energy Markets who’s main responsibility is the sourcing, portfolio management and risk pricing of the electricity, gas and green certificate portfolios of our sales partners. The other four domains within Energy Markets are Sourcing and Portfolio management Portfolio Optimization, Portfolio Monitoring, Green Origination and IT. You will work closely together with all the teams to create value for our customers in a world were the only constant is change.
